Jill Tweed
Jill spent her childhood in India, she trained
at the Slade School of Art, London, she now
resides in Brampton with her painter husband
Philip Hicks.
Her work is established in a
figurative/expressive style, reminiscent of
Rodin and Moore. Working in bronze and
contemporary materials her sculptures show
expressive movement and the spirit of her
subjects in a simplistic form.
A testament to the quality of her work is the
number of commissions Jill has completed over
the years, prestigious commissions have been
completed for the Royal Family and the Royal
Military Police. Along with producing
public and private commissions Jill also has a
international gallery career and has recently
held a solo show at Messum's, Cork Street,
London where she is a gallery artist.
Jill is interested in site specific
commissions and has a number of life size
editions for sale that are suitable for
gardens, public spaces, parks and new office
and housing developments.
